Clear's Parent Company Ceases Operations

Verified Identity Pass, Inc., the company that created the Clear card, ceased operations yesterday. The company's website states that Verified Identity Pass could not obtain sufficient credit to continue running the Clear lanes installed at airports around the U.S.

No announcement has been made about what will happen to the information the company collected and shared with the TSA.
