Would You Stay in a Youth Hostel?

Last week I spent a night at the Heritage House Hostel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with my family. The price was right - Halifax doesn't have too many cheap hotels in its downtown area - but I can't say I was thrilled with the worn mattress. Still, for what we paid, and for the convenience of being downtown, I think we got a decent deal. Best of all, the other guests observed the posted quiet hours policy scrupulously, even though we were there on Canada Day.
