A Day in the Life of the 78th Highland Regiment
Members of the 78th Highland Regiment drill with bayonets at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Citadel, which has been restored to look as it did in 1870, stands guard over Halifax and its harbor as it has since 1749. Today, re-enactors take the parts of soldiers in the 78th Highland Regiment and the Royal Artillery.

What tradition! It’s always nice to see something that has been passed down for generations and remains a presence –even if it’s a re-enactment now. Thanks!
Great shot! One of our most unique vacations was to Nova Scotia. Louisbourg is not to be missed! Absolutely the best historical restoration spot we’ve ever visited, and my husband is a history buff, so we have visited a few.
There is so much diversity in the world. Makes it much more interesting than if we were all alike.
I always love seeing men dressed in something other than trousers. Wish more groups did so. Those guys look as thought they are about to bayonet their own feet.
