Southwest Airlines is betting that you will.
The Los Angeles Times and other media outlets are reporting that Southwest will begin charging passengers $10 for its new EarlyBird Check-in service, which will place passengers on the boarding list ahead of everyone except Business Select and Rapid Rewards' A-List customers.
Southwest's boarding system is unique; as passengers check in for flights, they are assigned to boarding categories and given priority numbers. Business Select passengers board first, followed by A-List members (frequent flyers) and then by Category A passengers - until now.
What would you do? Are you willing to pay $10 extra to board ahead of Category A passengers? Leave your answer in the comments.
