Travel Photo of the Week: Krewe of Jingle Parade

By December 5, 2012

Holiday parades are such fun to watch. Local groups, high school bands and community organizations turn out to celebrate, bringing smiles to spectators' faces. And, of course, at the Krewe of Jingle Parade in New Orleans, Louisiana, bead-tossing is also part of the tradition.

Are you going to a holiday parade this year?

There is just something about a parade and the collective energy of all involved. We attained an annual Sikh parade in early November.

Just attended our local Christmas parade, and it definitely had the flavor of coastal Texas, where I live. There were horseback riders and four-wheelers and a float with a duck-hunting theme.
