The Washington Post and news outlets all over the eastern United States are reporting that the New England region will be slammed by a blizzard, officially named Winter Storm Nemo, beginning Friday. Airlines have canceled hundreds of flights in anticipation of the storm, which may dump over two feet of snow on Boston and the surrounding area.
If you are traveling to or from the northeastern US tomorrow or over the weekend, now is the time to contact your airline, bus line or Amtrak to find out whether or not you will leave on schedule. Chances are, you won't.
Amtrak has already canceled several trains, beginning tomorrow afternoon, and Weather Underground reports that several airlines have already begun to waive change fees for passengers scheduled to fly to or from the affected area.
