If you love maple syrup (and who doesn't?), it's time to plan a trip to a maple syrup festival.
These popular festivals center around the production and enjoyment of maple syrup and maple sugar. At some festivals, you can visit sugar camps and watch as maple sap is boiled down into syrup. At others, it's all about the food. If you've never had a freshly-made maple doughnut, you are missing out.
Most maple syrup festivals in North America take place in March and early April, but a few happen in late February. It's definitely time to organize a trip to one of these sweet events.
