I've spent a lot of time in hotels over the years, and there's nothing worse than settling into your room and discovering that your noisy neighbors intend to stay up until the wee hours.
Having said that, I often arrive at my hotel late at night, well after other guests have gone to sleep. I do my very best to tiptoe as I set down my bags and plug in my smartphone charger.
Hotel etiquette involves more than tiptoeing and tipping. You can set the stage for a successful hotel stay while you're reserving your room. If you're not sure how to do this, it's time to learn the basics of hotel etiquette.
