Now that hurricane season is officially under way, perhaps it's time to look carefully at your travel plans. If you're headed to a beach resort or taking a Caribbean cruise, buying a travel insurance policy might be a good idea.
It's important, though, to purchase the right kind of travel insurance for your trip. If you're worried about weather delays, for example, you'll need to look at trip cancellation insurance.
Don't forget to read the entire policy before you purchase insurance. If you want "cancel any time" coverage or emergency medical coverage, it's up to you to make sure you buy a policy that includes it.
