(LifeWire) - Company Information
Azamara Cruises was launched in 2007 when Celebrity Cruises acquired the two ships from the Spanish line Pulmatur. The line's two ships, Journey and Quest, offer an array of luxury accommodations. Azamara is also renowned for its unique itineraries and out-of-the-ordinary destinations.
Mission
Azamara bills itself as a deluxe cruise line, midway between premium and luxury. The ships are small enough (each carries 700 passengers) to visit smaller ports that are inaccessible to huge cruise ships. A hallmark of Azamara Cruises is highly personalized service; all staterooms have butler service and 24-hour room service.
