If you visit the castle, plan your trip so that you can have lunch or dinner in town. There are several excellent restaurants in Sermoneta, and the town is largely ignored by tour groups. You may, on the other hand, encounter school field trip groups (easily identified by the teacher blowing a coach's whistle).
