Furnace Creek is extremely popular. You can buy a sandwich at the store, eat in the casual restaurant or drive up to the Furnace Creek Inn, the park's famous historic hotel. A mule team wagon from the park's 19th-century borax mining days is parked in front of Furnace Creek Ranch - Twenty Mule Team Borax got its name here.
