Chestertown, on Maryland's Eastern Shore, is a quiet town known for its historic homes and thriving arts scene. Chestertown was named to the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Dozen Distinctive Destinations list for 2007 because of its beautifully-preserved historic buildings and continuing ties to Maryland's maritime heritage.
